The Mom Crowd

Since Darah’s birth in 2004, my family has participated in our local Buddy Walk. The Buddy Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society to raise awareness and promote inclusion for persons with Down syndrome. It was also developed as a major fund raising event to provide more resources and opportunities for people with Down syndrome and their families. Since Darah’s birth, my family has found another family in our local Down syndrome support group.

If you would like to be involved in the Buddy Walk, you can do so by joining us on Saturday, October 6th from 7:30am until 11:30am. It will be at Ft. Sam Houston’s BG Johnson Track in San Antonio, TX. Come ready for a one mile walk, entertainment, and fun for the whole family! If you are not able to physically make it to the Buddy Walk, you can still head over to the above site and financially support the Buddy Walk. Please be sure to tell them Darah sent you.
