Episode 2 of The Mom Crowd Show!
Thank you to everyone watched the first episode of ‘The Mom Crowd Show’ and for all your kind words. It really means a lot to McKenna and I. We still have some rough edges to work out, but we will get there! Thanks for sticking with us as we work out the kinks in these first few episodes.
Here is episode 2! I had a lot fun meeting Deb in San Diego. Her beach is really that beautiful.

Great episode! You girls are pros. Good info too. (And is there real tea in that pot?)
Now can I just edit out my obsessive head nodding and lip smacking in our interview? That’d be great.
Deb
Thanks Deb for being such a great sport! I didn’t notice your lip smacking. I only noticed mine! It must be the wind or we need to get some chapstick. Maybe Dr.Pepper flavor.
As to the teapot: In the very first episode that we filmed and scrapped, we really had tea. We did have plans to drink a new flavor each episode and mention what we were drinking. In the first episode we actually had Mountain Dew in the mugs. This last episode was filmed on a Monday morning, so we had coffee. At one point in the show you see me take a sip and you hear me go “Mmmm.” It was good coffee!
Deb, I wouldn’t worry – I was more distracted by random coat-and-shorts-wearing guitar player dude who needed to nap just behind y’all. It added a nice bit of authenticity, I thought.
Totally loved the episode, you guys seem so relaxed and it’s clear you’re enjoying what you’re doing. I love watching! Thanks for the post shout-out! I’m running a 5-miler at the end of the month and I’m contemplating a half-marathon in November – stay tuned on that one.
Finally, Amanda: we need you to speak more Norwegian in future eps. That. Was. Awesome.

Great job ladies! I really enjoyed the 5k discussion and how having that goal can be beneficial for sahms giving us that mental and physical “break” from the day. And I totally agree that a 5k is not nearly as long as one might expect, it just takes practice and building up to the distance. Incidentally, my first 5k is on Saturday so this was an extra motivating topic for me!
Oh and thank you McKenna for the idea about putting the pack and play in the bathroom of the hotel room! Every time we travel, we are strapped for ideas on how to do anything once the little one is down for the night! That is an AWESOME idea that I know we will use.
i loved this episode! i so enjoy meeting my new “bloggy” friends via video. you’re all just as fabulous on video as i expected. congratulations on this new medium!

Thanks girls! Amanda and I have such a fun time shooting these. Julie, I hope your 5K went well today! I also hope that the bathroom trick works for your next hotel stay.
I just popped over from San Diego Momma. What a great website y’all have over here. I love the video clips, kinda like Wayne’s World on estrogen, but waaaaaay cooler!
